World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using fewer upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a significant possibility that the item upgrades will become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failed upgrade will destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed by using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values that it can improve a statistic by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

The use of the Glyph will boost all nodes that are linked to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For example an Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade item tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrade a piece of equipment the original item is replaced by the new item. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a problem in that it could cause the item to become more expensive if you do not require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial but it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player continuously enters or leaves the water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by 10 points. This item is very useful in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the item upgrade, and upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to go back to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item level upgrade definitions. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. However, players must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
