Upgrades to gear increase its stats base and often enhances its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are applied.

For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb ability in PvP, or to add additional defenses on missile based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the original version that is not upgraded.

Reroll Tokens
